They can be quite hard for a road car, blip the throttle on the S50 and you can feel the car rock slightly. Having said that though, they are still worth it in my opinion, its not like I want it to drive like an E38 is it :D

Pah! I drove my S14 mounted on Ice Hockey pucks to the Ring and back! S50 with solid mounts will be a piece of cake

Yes but your car is stripped out, caged and on coilovers,,,,,,,

The car in question is not a track car, it is a road car which means comfort is an important factor

I am not doubting they are harder, just nowhere near enough to start getting upset about on a road car

We all know Dan is a total softie if we look at all the things on his car...

DM flywheel,
wanting softer mounts,
wanting to go even lower with his diff ratio even though he has a 6 speed box.

Next he'll be saying the B8s are really alittle too hardcore for his liking

Can you pm or e-mail your details for sending on those monies for the bits too Dan as I deleted the last one by accident.

I was going to say air-con but thought I'd leave that one go... but now that you mention it :P
I must admit, I quite like my cruise control though :o:

so to re-cap...

M5 square mounts are a waste of time and are only fooling yourself if you think they are strong just because "there's metal in them!"

M5 rubber mounts for M52s and even S50 baiting M50s for spirited driving if your a big softie and partial to your refinement.

AKG mounts if you have the spare funds for M5x and almost essential for S50s.

Hocky pucks or solid mounts if you want to be hard-core, cheapskate or trying to say your a tough :D
