I contacted Steve through r3vlimted forum. His handle is hoveringuy. He responds quite quickly that way.

I also have a another OBC correction unit from him but this one I fried when I allowed it to make contact with the ECU case. I am not inclined to test each component to find out which has failed, but you may be. It is proably one of the transisters or the chip that has gone. It comes a working chip which will be good for your s50 conversion (although I cannot tell the difference between the working and possibly dead chip). Free to you if you want it.

He does speak English but for some reason he is not answering. Anyway we will see what we will do with the speedometer.
