She's a tight one for sure Chris
Be interesting to see what happens after 15K miles.
Can everyone see why there were two runs done now ??
No-one goes from 1K to 7K @ wot from a standing start, so the part load map run shows more of what the delivery is like on the road.

That's some of the best numbers I have seen for a homebuilt m20 stroker. Good stuff

Looking very good there mate
So, so close to cracking 200 on both torque and BHP.
When's the next check-up? 10K?

If you ever change your mind to go turbo or supercharger you would not have to change a thing internally considering your spec and it pull out some very astonishing numbers but in current n/a form it needs more miles to loosen it up and wouldnt be superised to see atleast another +10bhp and torque everywhere.
I would be proud of the those results

Thanks dude, i'm hoping that the new chip and some spirited driving adds a bit and am leaning towards some form of management change.
I truth it feels fast as it is, plus the fact i still need to sort out the brakes its probably a good thing its not much faster lol!

Is it me. or do the above figures not stack up right?
Assuming that the WHP figure is accurate (i.e.measured) and the FHP calculated from this, then either the FHP in run 1 is high, or that in run 2 low.
Or am I missing something?
I know its of no consequence, but I'm intrigued by the discrepancy.

Second dyno run today, bit abortive, first run bhp194@5993rpm lbft185.5@4617
Turns out one of my spark plugs had worked its way loose and caused a misfire, but even with that impediment its doing well,
Development time!

What's up first in your development then?
I think it would have nudged 200 if you hadn't had that misfire... Im on 670 miles and counting, just found out a local TVR specialist has a RR and charges £50 for a power run with everything checked, I will be happy to get 195 since im running a less agressive cam and log manifold

These engines run better and better the more miles they run,my 2.7 at around the 40,000 mile mark feels just nicely run in..
To get more than 200bhp does start to get properly expensive, though, and can easily spoil the low speed running, makeing town driving a chore.

That's quite a nice large area under that graph! You must be pleased with your engine building!
