E30 M50 Help. Updated pics

Just another question what is said to be better on the conversion about air filters wether to leave air box in or go with a filter, would like to keep air box for originality.
ps also electric fan ideas.

Ive done 7 M50`s now,the last of which was collected last week.
2-3 days on average which includes modding the exhaust fannimolds

you find it best to cut e36 down how much you take off roughly.

All but one of my donor cars have been E34s,the only E36 engine ive had was already removed(big mistake buying that one

).
On an E34 the engine/box/front half of prop will all come out without having to take half of the front end apart,should imagine its much the same on a 36 too but if not either unbolt the front slam panel or chop through it

HI all started the project this weekend but im still after a e34 sump and pick up does any one have one?

Dan ive still got the parts here but wont be available next weekend minimum,maybe middle of that week at the latest.
If you can get them elsewhere first thats fine.

Nice one let me know when you have them i have a wanted out but will take them when they come up

A question about the brake servo is it fine to go with a mk1 golf 1.8 gti one as i already have one has this been done before????

If i was i would have remembered to write 'swap' in that line too. I remember doing one or two and never needed to change the sump but then again I never pulled those engines out so could have been already done before me or engine was from E34 or something?

Mk1 Golf servo is fine but plastic wing Clio servo give much better pedal feel

Hi all just a couple of pics got the e36 out and e30 out, Have recieved sump and bits off Danthe he is also doing my wiring many thanks, got a mk1 golf servo and just waiting for wiring and new rubber mounts and it'll be going in.
Does any one know any thing about the oil cooler can i keep it or does the m52 not need one,

And the culperate if you can pic it out 3 bust rockers on inlet side

Im after a set of engine mount rubbers if any one got some in vgood condition. am trying to get some new but no one wants to help.

I will drop you a couple of E34 mounts in with the wiring when I send it back, will get you started at least. You dont 'need' to run an oil cooler but if you want to there is a couple of US companies that sell kits to link it up to the M50/M52

Thanks dan that would be great my mate is pricing up some mounts for me tommorow if he remembers but would be great if you have some kicking round to get it in, If the cooler isnt needed i will remove it will make life a little easier.
As for the wiring i have had it boxed up for a couple of days but havent had the chance to send but will be sent tommorow many thanks.

Just a quick update, The car is still in the same state its been 6 weeks now and am after some inspiration, so been looking back at the site to get it. I think i have all the parts needed to get it in nd have a long weekend coming up and am trying to get on with it then, Im sure the missis will try and find me something else to do but its about time i got it finished especially with the nice weather coming round.
So any inspiration would be great.
