Yep the 20th is the date. I shall clean out the van for then. What I'll do if you can pm me your number and I'll give you mine and next weekend I'll ring and grab your address so I can type it into the nav.
Just wondering how far does these mounts bring the engine back and is there any bulk head work needed? (a big hammer).
Thanks
Ben

going to send a pm now, it is close to the bulkhead, may need a slight touch of a hammer it's just getting it into the position it rubs the bulk head...

Lovely got your add.
I will ring you next week to confirm when I'll be comming down your way.
How did you get over mating the M20 drive shaft to the M30 box?

excellent sounds good, for the prop i measured up the gap between the diff and box and sent it to reco-prop.co.uk for the to shorten the M30 end and join it to the M20 end of the prop.

You should have measured the distance from the box to centre bearing, centre bearing to the diff as thats how you get the correct measurements for the prop,
I messed up and mine was 10mm short but the splines allow you to lengthen the prop more than that, as I went the same way, front e34, rear e30.

I just measure the whole lot and told them to only shorten the M30 end, as the m20 end isn't gonna change in length unless they adjust it....

Thats the way that the custom prop place told me to measure next time, as I did exactly the same as you, and it ended up short because we left to much play

lol I can only imagine how hard that was to get out again! I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of the build, and it up and running again!
What time frame you got in mind for it? Oh and don't forget to double what you think too!

trust someone to turn that into something dirty lol
well i have a new water pump on its way and a gasket set, just need so many parts to complete.
was hoping around the march time it should be done, well at least running anyway. iv sourced a supercharger from a XKR jag just need to get the inlet manifold fabricated.
does anyone sell a exhaust manifold made to fit the M30 conversion?
cheers
Ben

Thats sounding good, is a shame wish i took more parts when i picked up my current M30 there probably just rotting now
As for the mani i found a couple ss custom ones to fit inside the E30 but they where wanting £650+ for them which was way out of my budget!

Hmmmm £600+ that is quite abit of money. I'll see what I can sort out manifold wise. Might get one made abit cheaper. I'm just trying to work out how to get that broken rocker arm off and changed. Once if done that I'll change the head gasket and stick a set of ARP bolts on do a service find a gearbox and clutch then apart from a load of other stuff it's ready to be dropped in.
Bring on them track days

for a budget manifold you could cut the flange of a e30 six branch, and have a new flange made out of 12mm steel to fit the m30 head, just a thought as i dont know if the exhaust ports are the same distance apart.
