Just had a last drive about in the chromie, it's a sad day

Hope you gave it a murderous kicking.

No I actually baby'd it a bit as I had a gut feeling either I'd crash it or someone else would crash into me, sod's law n' all that.

I gave it a bit of a quick stab with the new owner in the passenger seat though.

He's actually very happy with it Lee, had a text of him a while ago, now it's all about the Rust

He's a really nice lad and was a pleasure to do a deal with, absolutely no messing about. I sent him away with a few goodies to help with sprucing it up.

If I didn't have the expense of having to renovate a listed cottage I would have probably got around to sorting the bodywork, but to leave it an put it through another winter would have probably done it no favours.

I walked around to the shop for some tabs earlier and it was wierd not seeing the car parked out the front

I'll get him to post up a thread when he starts getting the bodywork sorted on her.

I know about not seeing the car on the drive mate, it was the same with the cab not being there, but for me, atleast I know she's locked up in the dry.

He had a little blast on the way home and said it was "Very revvy and quick".
Told him to get the vanos sorted, it would be better.

LOL, had you lot going though for a while, best on is Jim, had a PM asking what was happening to the White Chromie .

My cousin's bought it from Lee.
He saw it at Santa Pod and deal was struck there.

Well, it turned this morning about 9.30am.
Meatballs was here to to drop of my M30 parts, so had a quick passenger ride



Sorted out the Central Locking issue, ECU was swapped to see if it was at fault, but turned out to be the RED/BLACK wiring going through the door.
Mod done, and it's all working as it ahould.

Swapped over the MOMO steering wheel for a Tech 1 , as it should be.



The gearknob was fooked, manky and worn, so swapped it over too with an A1 condition one.

Plenty Lee, it is quick, but runs out of puff very quickly too.
I took Tej out on a tour of "Solihull" and opened her up every chance I got

He's gone now, off home, so all done, and then he's coming back later on in the year to sort out the drivers seat.

Looked at a couple of VR6 Corrados today. They were distinctly average and I'm not willing to spend the amount required to get a proper example.

So a 325ti is on the hit list instead.

Thought I'd chip and just say I'm the new owner of Mr BeemerLads E30....!
Rav hasn't quite got round to the idea of a 24v yet!

Been enjoying driving it around and it's certainly a lot quicker than my E39 530i...weight makes all the difference

Will be sticking a post up when I get the bodywork going.

Will take this opportunity to thank Lee and Rav for the help they've given me so far, much appreciated.
