All you need is the bar that links them Lee. I removed one off a comfort one last time I was down. Think it's in there somewhere.

Thanks for the offer Ollie.
I'm a happy man with the floor situation. Need an accelerator pedal though as the old one had a violent removal

No rush mate
Picked up handbrake cables today so can complete the rear end now, then it's finish the plumbing & wiring connecting, get the rest of the interior in and then it will just be exhaust left.
I'll have to wait for you to earn some credits from the warden

Had a scratch around on the car today, just a load of fanny little jobs. Realised I had forgotten about the rear ARB, which needed the diff rear mount undoing to drop it down a little in order to fit. My usual style, doing the job twice
Back end is done though, just the rear calipers to bleed. Exhaust is fitted at the back, but I am far from happy with it. The brackets need sorting as it is a 4 pot car so doesn't have 2 brackets in the same place for the brackets that wrap around the rear silencer. Although it is on the pish in this pic, it can't go any higher. Which is what I really dislike on chromies, all the guts on show underneath. So in the long run, I reckon I will be sorting some kind of custom system.

Fuel pipes are connected up after the front to rear hard lines were also replaced. Clutch slave bolted up after changing it for the one from the touring. Inlet manifold bolted up and all pumbing & wiring in place/ connected for that.
I'm near to sticking a battery on it now, but have confused myself with which wires connect to which terminal now as I smoke too much green and can never remember what connected where
Questions for Dan here really
In the pics below, is the long red on top of the cam cover supposed to go to the battery live or alternator live?

Are these all like to to be live?

Now onto the leccy fan loom, Dan you're a legend as I realised tonight when looking at the terminals that you acutally labelled them like "K6" "K1" etc. So it is obvious to me which area these are to connect to, but there are 2 types of terminal in the pic below. Some are female spade terminals and some are the clip in type for the fuse box. On the clip type that have the K numbers on them, which part of the respective K relay area on the fuse box do they plug into as each relay obviously has a few terminals? Am I making sense?

I also had a quick tart about and dyed the rear parcel shelf with blind.
Before

After - coverage looks shite but looks fine in real life & darker too

Fitted

Fitted the mims to the front too in order to get an idea what it will look like

They need 3mm spacers on the front just for the standard calipers as you can't turn the wheels when they are bolted up, christ knows what they will need for the wilwood 4 pots.
So it ended up in proper pov mode at the end of the day, on bird shit covered steelies

Need to draw up a list of what needs doing to finish it as I keep distracting myself too much. If I do a list and hit it, I should be ready for action soon.
Exhaust mani is in hand thanks to brother Dezmond. Driver front wing is shocking at the bottom as is the jacking point on both front sides, finger in the wing job. Should have left the mud flaps on

Yep, highly trained 24V attack pigeons, also trained in the art of finding ancient M30 donks and intercepting them before Captain Pugwash has a chance to fit them to his tugboat!!E30BeemerLad wrote: Paul, yeah that is birdshit on the jimmy hill, cooonts. Does Rav keep pigeons?

The red is power to the loom, one of the two black cables is power to the fusebox and the other is earth from the loom, at a guess id say the one on the left is the loom earth as it looks to have two cables inside the sheath

K6 has two connections, one is feed from the fan switch Pin 85 and the other is an earth Pin 86, you can test for the earth with a continuity test between the spade terminal and the earth ring that bolts in the ABS pump area
As for the exhaust get Dezzy to weld the extra hanger in place, you can buy them from BMW for a few quid, I didnt fancy getting the welder round mine so I did this

Not much left now
