Mybe Sandys has the eccentric top mounts.
The disks are standard m3 ones.
I think i'll try the 3mm spacer idea and go from there.

Yep, Andy's on to it. That big nut on the top of the damper has been responsible for this exact same symptom on mine before.buster wrote:Well theres only the rubber in the top mount and i think its all one piece so you'd need a new top mount.I'd check see if the big nut on the top of the damper is tight or the bottom ball joints and anti roll bar links are ok if your getting a knocking noise.
