Todays weather was shite!! Did want to sort the exhaust but no such luck! If you mean the thing on the n/s of the tailgate, no, although it does look like one its just the glue left by some old random sticker!Cook318IS wrote:glad somebody's made some use out of todays wet weather!don't suppose you have a NÃarburgring sticker on the back do you?

me and jaffro are towing it to my new flat WITH A GARAGE!!!! dont think its big enough to work on the inside it but its not a problem. i will be able to do the wiring in the garage though.
i have to change the big black plug as the pre-face and post face are different. my chromy (with tech 2 kit) has a few different pins in there so i either need to change the plug or change the fuse box as there is 1 extra wire i think?
i wish it was plug and play like the post face.
once i get the big needed for jaffro's welder i will weld the m3 exhaust up and finish the flange.
exhaust
wiring
patch to weld on scuttle
finish the tech2 kit
genral sort out (shell not been on road for 2 years)
......think thats it until the MOT and we see what then

After picking up yet another touring this weekend I got straight on with robbing all its shiney bits!
It came with H&R anti roll bars, uprated dampers (not sure what make although they do say HR24 on them?) poly eccentric front bushes, stainless back box and some lowering springs.
Glad I have an understanding brother with a big drive!!

Should handle quite nicely with that lot on

Well my wild chip turned up today (thanks very much speedtouch) so as I had a spare 20 mins I thought I would chuck it in

It was a piece of p**s to fit, came with really easy to follow instructions. Shame I can't see if its made a difference yet as I still have some suspension to finish, oh and I need a new engine mount!! I think I am going to get some poly mounts or just make up some solid ones.

New problems........................
Been fine for a few weeks, now its started playing up. When I take it out for a drive after a while the abs light comes on, then if you turn the car off it won't start. Its like the battery is flat, it was starting off a boost pack but now it won't start off that or jump leads. Its not the battery.
Any ideas anyone?

Try putting the old chip back into the ECU this may be the problem as i had a similar prob with my 335 with eratic ideling caused by the chip which caused my car to turn off and car to start rolling while moving which was scary at first lol anyway try it and let me know how you get on.

Sounds like it could be a dodgy earth if you get electrical gremlins then it goes comletely dead as described. For what they cost it could be worth putting a new earth strap on.
