Sorry if this has been posted before, but I did a search and couldn't find anything.

A guy in America is in the middle of fitting an RB26 into his E30.

Here is the thread.

Thought some of you might find it an interesting read, I certainly did :)

Went through all the pages now, that is one cool project. Guy knows what he is doing. The gearbox is HUGE compared to a E30.

dam it! I wanted to be the first to do this when i leave uni! Cant wait to see it, sounds like the perfect car to me :)

Alot of people have done the rb20det and rb25det conversions here in nz, this is the next step :cool:

an awesome build/ project.

I think starting off with an M50 transplant was the right idea for me. The supra swap can come in good time... :D

Am I the only one who found it amusing that he was cursing exhaust / steering clearance on a LHD car?!

as far as i know rb26 exhaust manifold is on other side compared to a bmw six

I know! I just found it amusing that we struggle with BMW engines & RHD, & for once it's a LHD car with the same problem! I guess it was just me then... :)
