hey all im looking to turbocharge my touring over a period of time, now engine is no problem as i got a spare 325i engine which i am stripping down and building with new parts (some uprated) now i want a small amount off boost maybe 8-10 and have been looking at turbo's now will a turbo diesel one work or do i have to look at petrol, also i may be alble to get a truck turbo (small 6 litre one) will this be over powering or not. thanks for any help

Will, go see Fozzymonster, He's in Fleixstowe so not far away, he can give you 1st hand info and advice on all the pitfalls.

for your target boost level, I'd not use a large Holset, a T35 style hybrid will tick all the right boxes but will cost more than the bigger unit

yeah i am going to go and see fozzy monster when i get a free moment and its not raining lol, i used to have a t3 turbo but sold it as it was off my old rs turbo, i can get a turbo really easy and cheaply as i got a few mates around with them, just all the rest, i can do all the engine work myself like stripping down and rebuilding but its when it comes to the management, i want good managment but dont wanna spend a fortune, you wouldnt be able to give me a ruff estimate on a megasquirt system so i know what im looking at. thanks
