Crikey, that thing must shift! 8O :D

Better to run a bit rich than lean, especially with turbo!

Are you going to run it at Santa Pod in a few weeks?

Good luck! 8)

Good result Erel.

TBH chasing high HP on that turbo is a dead end, enjoy the torque dude, suits the cab to a tee.

it is rich up top end because thats how it was mapped to be, if I take fuel out over 5K there is a tiny amount of det creeping in so safe rich over a few HP gain was the sensible choice IMHO.

Do you have a chart?
Also do you have your AFR´s?

Ant, did you have to pull out extra timing on account of the possible det?
is it the turbine housing thats restricting high rpm flow?

In anycase, 300lbs is freaking insane.
With great challenges comes great engineering.

I've asked Erel( Bligsta) for the charts dude, the turbo housing is a .63A/R but the wheel is small trim size and the comp A/R is fairly low too, great turbo for the application and the torque delivery is awesome on the road, feels quick, is quick but with all the power bang in the midrange where its most useable

re the timing, I pulled a fair few degrees around 4.4K rpms to drop the tendancy for Det around peak N/A torque.

she could go a few points leaner than she is but given the on-off driving style ( dump valve addiction ) safe not sorry otherwise Erel will be revisiting old ground.

charts emailed to Ant so he can post on here for me..

To be honest, in kinda chuffed with figures, especially the torque... but it just startled me when he said the fuelling was well out and too rich, i thought this is the answer to why the BHP was lower than 250 and i can get more with some more mapping, but i know understand what Ant has done and prefer it this way and to be safe! plus its only 7psi and clutch is begging to be changed! winkeye

Its amazing how prior to the turbo conversion, i told Ant that i wont get greedy for more etc etc, Oh dear, how wrong was i? .. Boost can make you greedy for more! .. but i suppose you have to draw a line somewhere and say inuff is inuff.. thats where i am now as its my daily driver and i want reliability. suppose ive got best of both worlds now... bit of power and reliability to match!

Once again.. :thumb: to Ant.. car is awesome mate..

a solid genuine 220bhp makes an e30 feel pretty quick full stop (i.e. an M30!)

300lb/ft though is very impressive, that's 750i torque levels 8O

well done Erel i bet you're well happy with that!

I´ve driven a revvy 325i and comparison to a beastly 335i there is no contest, this must feel insane..

peak power at 4400rpm the tails of, that a sign of back preassue in the manifold and exhaust housing. this leads to over heating and pinking, explains why ant backed the timing is backed off at 4400rpm this time by a fiar few degrees.
