engine mounts are very similar to mine derek,
i too, have left the nearside original mount bolted to the block, because of the oil drilling's, but i trimmed it down a little as it looked a bit unsightly.
i'll get a couple of pics to you as soon as it stops raining enough to open the garage door!

Not that you can see down the sides of the engine anyway.

Its one wide motor.

i'm sure as you are aware 99% of all the work is done from underneath as you cant get your hands to anything.

Have you heard your motor running? I didn't get to hear mine, thats why I took it apart!
I can't wait to have it back together, I'm struggling to source a manual box and flywheel so I can't do anything until those bits turn up apart from complete the rebuild!

What prop/diff combo are you going to use?

yeah ,

i bought a stolen recovered 1994 e32 740i.

just had a bashed door but the owner wanted shot of it.

£300 and it was mine

Still had tax and mot so i buzzed around in it for 3 week.

Pretty nippy for a big car it was too and oh so comfy.

took me months too finally get hold of a manual box as they are a bit thin on the ground .

Another bargain

I have an 2.93 eta diff for now but will get a 3.25 lsd from an m3 or if u i had the money just now i would buy the m coupe one thats on ebay jut now.

Prop will be the front half of the 740 welded to the rear of the e30 unless an m3 one comes long at the right price

i rememeber seeing that blue, m3 lokalike e30 down aces which had the 4 litre and manual box.

that thing was ******* unreal. sounded fantastic also.
I remember that too. Two aussie blokes right? It hauled ass!
I remember that also,it was at rockingham, sounded awesome on the track.
It was featured in total BMW aswel.
Awesome motor.Im tempted to do one of these v8 conversions myself. winkeye
yep.

he came out of ace carpark and gave it everthing in first and second, fucking unreal, and the noise.....

it was real performance, as opposed to salman and demlot trying to impress the rudeboyz in the 200bhp fireballs as they bounce off the limiter.

Happy day today. :D

Horrible weather but went out and finally bolted the mounts on.

I chucked on the afm and filter , connected the fuel lines hooked up the battery .

Turned the key and 6 or 7 turns later it fired up and is running sweet :wan:

i'll post a quick vid tomorrow as the dude across from me was nightshift last night and his

wife came out and said i had woken hime up due to no exhausts

Still plenty to do but at least its in and running

Right guys its been a while and progress is slow but here's a small update.

Managed to cobble together an exhaust .

Sits a bit low for my liking due to having twin cats which are a bit on the big side to fit under the e30 .

These will be binned when i transfer everything into a slightly older 3 dr shell so i wont need them for mot.

Still plent to to do but its getting their .

Here a small vid. Sounds even better in the flesh
