Hi guys, i have both an m10 manual box and prop, and i also have a dogleg box from an m535i e28, does anyone know if this will fit ok and if i can still use the e30 m3 prop, many thanks again guys
will certainly fit, using an e30 crossmember from memory.
make sure it's a good box though. they aren't that strong and a lot have noisy bearings which aren't cheap to sort.
i'd use a getrag 260 from an e34/e32 530-535-730-735 without question, a far better box

yea the dogleg is weaker but not like it´s crap,
it´s also very cool to have a dogleg
I have one extra lying in my garage

thanks for the advice mate, i will go for the 260 box then, do i have to use an e30 m3 prop, will anything else work you know of. i have like a million old bm props at my garage!!
er, what i meant was it will do 110 max but read 120 lolToby_Unna wrote:3.46 will be much too low geared for the dogleg box, i.e. about 120mph actual speed on the limiter in top (prob 110 on the speedometer).
i would use the 260, having owned several screwed doglegs.
low gears isn't good with this conversion, you just end up with a useless 1st gear and effectively a four speed box!
