It's alive!!
After a few months of trying, changing things and retrying the original holset powered e30 breathed once more on Sunday PM.
Big thanks to Ant for popping up to watch the event and after another quick check and testing the new systems the key was turned and the beast fired back into life for the first time in atleast 4 months.
Running without the turbo was a fun experience, popping and farting 8 foot flames from the turbo flange was not only loud but damn good fun too watch!
So now that's sorted it's time to get back out on the road and get it mapped for the summer and back out to some of these meets I've been missing over the last few months.
Can't explain how happy I am, having all that work sat in the garage doing nothing was eating at my soul and the need for boost has been getting worse over the last few weeks, all these other F/I e30's being born was making very jealous indeed.
I've got even more plans for stage 3 but budget will limit how quickly this happens and for now being back on the road will be enough for me!
If you need me I'll be on that cloud for the next few days!
Mark.

Awesome dude, what was it stopping the sparks from working in the end?
Happy boostage

It was a wrong value resistor in the MS that prevented the sparks from working, that was diagnosed a few weeks back, only thing this time was getting the damn thing in firing order, so many wires!!Turbo-Brown wrote:Woo hoo!

It was dripping in fuel also having had a fair few attempts previously and that took a while to burn off, plenty of fire breathing momments then

So it's all back together again, turbocharged once more but now I have developed a bad earth and the MS keeps resetting on cranking, which it's never done before! typical, does this ever end?????? Light ran out and so did the battery so I bailed for tonight, will check all wiring and earths as it's poss I pulled a wire when the downpipe went in.
So close.....but yet so far.......
