does anyone with a turbod 325 have a problem with cooling since fitting there turbo? cus on mine it warms up to half under boost but without boost it goes to just ova a quarter. iv got my intercooler in front of my rad and no vents do i need to change this? has anyone changed the rad or done things different? all advice greatly accepted

as long as it doesnt start creeping over half, you should be ok mate, mine stays on a quarter all day long but half is normal op temp..

nah it go ova but im worried it mite in the summer i wish mine would sit a quarter. i was thinking about drilling some small holes in the thermostat someone ino done this on there golf and it helped cooling massively

Only problem with that is it will slow the warm up time down.

Are you using the standard rad and fan ?

Lot's of options for improvement if needed, running at half way isn't any thing to be worried about, like you say though you'll have to see what it runs at in the summer realy.

uprate the cooling fans if your worried,i can recommend twin cosworth items,they can cool mine from 3/4 to 1/4 on the guage within minutes,even on the hottest summer day in traffic jams.i wouldnt cut extra vents in the front purely to keep the sleeper look 8)

How old's the radiator out of interest?

Could be that a new one of those solves your problems.

the rads only a year old is there enough room to fit these cossie fans in? should i move my intercooler from infront of the rad to somwhere else?

could be worth throwing a E28 M30 rad in there...? it'll give you a bit more room to play with (as it's a bit thinner) and totally fills the 'hole' in the front panel with radiator.

a lot of the 335i's (or most of them?) use this rad including tobys uber turbo 3.5 beastie afaik so it sould help things a treat
