The problem is there is no way a
M50 is getting past 200bhp never
mind 215 from a de cat a 'lighter'
fly and a chip.

Thats almost 25bhp! Sorry but its just not
possible.

209 is from 194*5650/5252

Would the Scorpion system not aid it? The M30 airbox is also larger than standard and the viscous delete. These are the only mods.

The rolling road results are there on the print out FACT

What do you want me to do? Go back and say "demlot ses your machine is crap"?

whats the @ the wheels figure ?

thats the really important one, not the "best guess" figure that is produced via extrapolation and guesswork

its more practical to express gained power as a percentage not an outright figure.

generally speaking 23bhp extra from a 1.8i m40 will be more difficult to achieve than 23bhp from a 192 bhp m50

in the m40 its 20%
in the m50 its 11.97%

is it out of the realms of possibility to gain 12% via an exhaust, induction and a good remap or chip ???

no rolling road can give a definitely accurate flywheel figure.
it is and always will be a "best guess"
this is down to the way the things work eg they get an @ the wheels figure tan then guess the flywheel figure by using a run down off the gearbox, which again isnt and cant be accurate as the box isnt under any load.

the only way to get a flywheel figure is to remove the engine.

wouldn't it be about 182ish. doing a 15% powertrain loss. 215*85/100 is that right?

Thought it was generaly accepted that a rolling road dyno can only give very approximate engine figures. Suitable for comparisons under similar conditions, but not for absolute figures.
