Just out of interest i've heard from E-tech motorsport that a 320i sport can have a 325i lump dropped in needing nothing else and you will still gain the extra hp / torque. That is to say, the original 320 chip will remain, the MAF / Air flow meter, no oil cooler etc etc.
Will this really work? I have heard of people using a 320 maf on a 325 successfully, but surely the chip / ecu doesn't have the fueling maps for the 325i? Unless it solely works on air fuel ratios taken from the sensors?
Also what difference would leaving a 320i sport diff and box on the car with a 325i engine make? Would it be lower geared, better for acceleration, or worse?

yes this is true but better to use 325 management
as i have done this conversion.
but remember the 320 has smaller struts etc
and you do the rear carrier in as it can't gtake the power with the 320 diff on but its up to you
