hi all,

I am driving a m20b20 e30 and I need info on the following can anyone tell me briefly the pros and cons of each in terms of cost, horse power, fuel efficiency and etc, thanks:

1) Using a b25 Throttle body and Manifold in my car.
2) Using a b25 engine but with jetronic configuration, is this possible?

:D

Only one of three things is worth doing to the M20B20 engine in an E30.
1/ Leave it alone and enjoy it as it is.
2/ Attach the head to a 525eta, 2.7 litre bottom end.
3/ Swap it for a M20B25.
Anything else is just messing about for very little improvement.

what are the power benefits of 2? And you can't put a motronic b25 engine into a jetronic system then.

Benefit of 2 is that it produces an engine with a few more HP than a 2.5, but a shed load more of torque.
You can put a montronic into a jetronic and vice versa, if you change over all thats neccessary.

Thanks guys for the advice. From where I'm from in Malaysia, we rarely have ETA engines coming in here and 2.7 litres are rare, most of the half-cuts and engines are from Japan. A b25 engine without the elctronics is about USD 315 to 473. I was wondering if I could plonk it in first withthe eletronics and then later fill the original b25 electronics slowly :) money is the issue ... but of course most guys in the local forum here said to just get a half-cut and cut all further problems off.
