hey there, a few people suggested i should put some pictures up of what im running.

its a battered old nissan sil80 that i use for drift/street. i got fed up with the stock engine letting go and being unreliable so ive converted it to run the m62 from a 840ci.

its had a few minor tweaks and more to come but the idea is to keep it as close to stock as possible for now so i have the reliability i need, plus the lack of lag is very welcome! lol.

the engine/setup in brief;
- m62 4.4 non vanos
- cg motorsport stage 3 clutch (to handle abuse)
- TTV solid mass fly
- m5 6 speed gearbox
- aftermarket short shift
- air filter
- custom straight through twin exhaust
- nissan alloy rad
- eleccy fans
- ive stripped all looms and tucked/hidden them

and a few other bits, plus of course the spec of the car/chassis/etc!

ive run it round the block so far, looking to take it to lydden next weekend for a good run out.

nyway, a few pics.

Yes its scabby and dirty, been in the garage for over a year now and its an old neesan so rot is imminent.

Pictures dont work tho mate, i've never put pics up but i know you have to host them thro photobucket or something similar.

I think it tells you how to do it in the for sale section.

Hi Northy, the thing i dont get is why all the work on a shed of a car, without being rude mate? Surely the amount of effort and money you put in you want something looking good at the end of it?? :D

Yeah I see your point and have considered spending time and money on the exterior or even a reshell, but there isnt any point. If its all nice and shiny then itll hold me back on track and I'll start doing that 'caring' thing lol. The car is so low the underside is completely battered and I get close twinning so damage is gonna happen, id rather that happen to old crap panels than nice clean shiny ones lol.

Also I don't mind buggering this shell up with the install, and when the shell is dead I can just swap everything into a new shell

Seems the pics are working fine now fella.

Nobby, yes the car is a shed but as he said, its a drift car first and foremost, if it was mint then he would want to damage it and it would sit in the garage gathering more dust, as it is tho its now an awesome drift machine, the bmw power plant supplying nice reliable grunt.

And its also a minor feat of engineering, all the work has been done in a garage not much bigger than a cardboard box!

All wiring, fitting, fabricating done by norfy himself. He's an electrical wizard!
