I have an m20 and its fine, I've been offered a 2000 e46 323(2.5) for basically scrap money the whole car as no t n t and he's emigrating off a mate the car is rotten and interior rough, however the engine and box are sound, its definatly a lot quicker and smoother than my m20, would it be worth the swap and is it much work? Also would it de value my 325 so would I be better off sticking with the m20 thanks

May I politely ask, if the body is rotten and the interior is rough, is there evidence to suggest that the engine is ok? I'm just thinking that if the owner couldn't be bothered with bodywork or the environment he sits, he/she probably wouldn't spend money on any maintenance?

He's had it a while and always been 100% just it has light leather and been used as a work car, the body is rotten arches and key marks, its not worth painting as its probly worth about 1k in mint con. Its a horible green se coupe, and with the 240 tax disc needed a respray and a seats that are mucky as condition its just not worth restoring, it was just a thaught, might just buy it sell wheels and weigh it in anyway!

Not really worth it. e46 lumps are a pain in the hoop to wire in.

Stick an m5x out of an e36 in, well worth it.
