Send a PM to a member called DanThe, he will do you a plug & play wiring loom and post it out to you, tried & tested this one.

This is what you need to remove from the E36, as well as the engine loom, also don't forget to keep the keys.

yep, the mother of all threads on my exploits is in the engine swap section, if you have a spare couple of days, there is some info amongst all the chit chat and general slagging in here

Also, a shopping list of compatible bits here

The conversion is alright to do, I had not done anything like this before, it's just a parts bin special at the end of the day.

Dan has all the available bits which were often the cause of grief, such as wiring loom & exhaust manifold, so you can buy your way out of hassle now.

The end result is quite impressive though, plenty of shove and the engines love being revved to death. if you fit the 2.5 M50 inlet manifold to them they really wake up at the top end, at the loss of a bit of low down torque.

It is well worth doing the E36 steering rack conversion whilst the engine bay is empty as the slow steering of the standard E30 rack really spoils what becomes a fast road car. Again, Dan can sort you with all the custom pipes needed to do this, along with the steering column UJ setup.
