Building my competition drift car, i put my M50 2.5 in, love it, its super quick, keeps up with Renault R26.Rs an focus rs, with the box an diff i have. But i was toying with the idea of turboing it, however in doing so the rebuild and build cost, i could put a 4.0 v8 in!
So the question is, i have a 2.5 M50 24v non vanos, with a 318 gearbox and prop to suit, loom, rad, mounts, everything you need to put the conversion into your car in a day,
The engines done 140k, but has had a brand new headgasket and a full going over without taking apart, runs smoothly and is genuinly the best engine i have ever owned, and iv had it for 3 years.
So realisticly how much should i be looking for to sell the whole conversion?
Thanks!
Resale value of a full drop in M50 conversion inc gbox/loom

I would guess a package that is ready for someone to literally drop in and turn the key would be worth £600+.
Yes you can go and buy a M50 for £200 or less, but an unknown quantity more too often. Also, things like loom adapting and especially exhaust manifold, this is where people who don't have a welder or a mate with a welder really struggle.

Was one on sale here a couple of months ago for £500 which included the rusty car as well
Though I agree with above around the £600 mark
However as you've already said that its been used for drifting??
