This is the whole reason you should have left it standard, if you didnt have more power you would need bigger brakes and if you didn't have bigger brakes you wouldnt have to get bigger/different rims and if you didnt need bigger rims you wouldn't have to buy mew tyres to go on the new rims

...and you could have used all the money you saved to buy a car that does what you want it to do streight out of the box and will do it all day long....

But like me your in too deep... :D :D

i could have bought a nice e46 M3 instead...... :violin:

if you did that, you'd have to consider depreciation too. i can't imagine owning a car that loses value over time! 8O :D

Thats a proper drive Dafs!
All it needs now is some oil stained council slabs to replace the gravel and a bit of a canopy from the house to fence once the plant things have been pulled out :)

To be fair you saw the state of my first M50, so much fluid was coming out of that my drive had more holes than a sieve!

Touring gets collected 9am Saturday morning.

Then the chromie will be ready for action. it's had the first mods already. Dan has modded the fuel tank loom thingymabob and Dezzy installed some M3 cloth front seats. Will be on the lookout for a dark check iS or M3 rear bench in due course.

Oh and my car has got "ink" :)

Lee I feel as though I have let you down. For some strange reason I have stopped watching this thread.

Brakes are bang on as far as the rules!

The touring knew it was finished it didn't even fight!

Nice seats in the chromie btw. Another rule ticked.

Time for the fun stuff. Get these 24v chrome wepons finished!

Yeah, proper council action going on there.

I didn't get anything for it, just asked them to take the cooont away. Currently cleaning up the driveway a bit, preparing the operating theatre. There was still stuff on it I could have taken off to sell like rear clusters, bumper etc, but I just can't be arsed. Got too much scrap lying about as it is.

Going to have a giveaway with comfort seats and bonnet, front bumper etc etc. Just need the space

Chromie is in position up near the garage, Golf has an MOT.

Been having a big tidy up outside to smarten it up a bit, so not got anything done really.

Might have a drive to the scrap yard tomorrow to get an E36 rack and then come back and get started.

Trouble is, I'm undecided where to start  I haven't got any springs, so can't fit suspension & brakes. So I may just get the lump pulled and then get the M52 in. But I may just pull the M10 snorter and do useful stuff like fit the servo and make up some new brake pipes and other stuff that is easier with the engine out.

It smells fruity outside still, notice the fuel tank slowly weeping out the blocked off hose :)

Well work is underway. Wasted too much time today though. Got up late, went to the scrap yard to relieve and E36 of it's rack. Pulled a master cylinder off an Audi 100 (early A6 shape) believe it's a 25mm variety, but if not then it's only £3 wasted lol. As ever, I can't seem to go to scrap yard and just get what I was going for, always end up milling around looking at what shite there is there. Tried getting some E34 steering UJ's for Dezzy but just can't get the collar nut undone on the column, man they are tight.

Anway, after being sent on another mission to the supermarket, got home and got it in the air.

Then started getting everything undone/ disconnected etc. It's filthy under the bonnet, but with the donk removed, a good shower with some TFR and the jet wash and it'll look 100% better.
Image

I took some more pics but they don't seem to have uploaded, so sod it.

Anyway, engine is unbolted, prop and gearbox mount undone, exhaust undone, heat sheild off, master cylinder off, wiring disconected, rad removed. Another 30 mins messing about and it'll be ready for the engine & box to come out.

Having spent a bit of time under the car, the underside is in good order. The damn fuel tank looks absolutely spanking mint, grrrrrr. Shame it's no use.

With a bit of daylight on a night time now, hopefully i'll have the donk out this week.
