Hello folks, probably been done to death but what are the generaly accepted turbos to use on turbo conversions to the 2.5 ltr M50 lump?

Also, what donors are most likely to hide them?

Would a Turbo from a Volvo V70 T5 for instance be man enough?

I'm keeping standard compression at the moment so not too much boost but would like some reserve for when I carry out further work alowing an increase.

Thanks for any help,

Rorty-corty (or Smiler everywhere else, that name was taken when I registered on here)

The Volvo T5 is suitable if it´s the 300hp one.
Then you should be looking to boost about 300hp give or take.

A point though is that the M50 is a NA engine and has cams to suit. So it will not like
alot of backpressure. So keep the turbine well sized, as well as the exhaust manifold decent.
With great challenges comes great engineering.

It means bugger all to me, can anyone else shed any light on it?
