Constant viewing of gunni's vids as well as a quick lap in martins car has left me wanting turbo power.

Using the existing log manifold how can i adapt this to run a turbo. Space looks pretty tight but i've seen it done. How have other users on here used their existing manifold to run a turbo???

I'd consider using an ebay manifold and bracing it.

so it is , good job i didnt buy one ,if you had lhd ehxhaust manifolds it would be further away from the steering i would like to see how close

the ebay manifold is cheap , but requires an oil filter relocation ,unless your happy with the manifold very nearly touchin the oil pipes or filter
the downpipe also becomes a bastard

and lastly if you do go for a cheap ebay one get one from the same seller as someone you know for sure has one and fits

i bought one from a member from this forum and the bolt holes would just fit but badly and the ports were out of centre by over quater of an inch on some :(
a lot of different companys seem to use the same desgin ,that makes finding the good from the bad difficult

on the plus side the is an american guy with one of these manifolds running over 500 whp so if you get a goo one the flow well

My friend has agreed to start making manifolds now.

Made from thick 4mm mild steel for 4ever lasting usage.
T3 or T4 flange, split pulse or not, wastegate provision or not.

Wastegate will only be the 60mm I´ll be using. Price is 600pounds.
With great challenges comes great engineering.

I have a log manifold from a tds which has had the necessary work done to match it to an M20 head.
It just needs a T3 ot T4 flange welded on to it.

4mm?!?! thats going to be as strong as hell. dont think you will have much problem with keeping the heat in either. lol

Would love to see some pics once thats done. Aslo are you getting is coated? i hear that exhasut gasses and wear through mild steel piping given time....

No not coated.

Any metal will wear with time. That´s just how it is.
People have run for years with 2mm mild steel . So 4mm is not going to be a problem.

I do suggest to people to get one of those turbo covers. It´s cheap and helps remove heat from the engine bay.
