They are both saved Ollie! I'm thinking now of returning the chav to chrome in the distant future. One thing at a time though! winkeye.

Rav, I might just rotate it by 90. I've heard that helps.

No plans to use the E36 rack at the moment. :)

If you get the black 325i one up and running, in good condition with simple oem styling, I'll buy it off you when I can afford the insurance! :D

Suppose so if u look at it like that! the facelift is IMHO by far the most desirable shell I own. It's not perfect yet but I know all it's remaining worts and I got a nice plan of action. I'm looking forward to getting this on the road. winkeye

tbh I have no plans for the black one other than to molest it for parts.. :( Once I'm done it's up for grabs if anyone fancies it, but there would be welding aplenty involved...

I could get it done though... winkeye

 Thats pretty bad! Rust on the roof is not good! 8O

Still saveable, But probably not worth it! :( Just get a quote from your welding guy, to see what it would cost to weld all the rusty patches and that will make the decision for you! :D

Soz but really not had time lately to make any progress on this! :(

After a bit of a vote, the scales seem tipped slightly in favour of gettin the M30 into the 318 shell.

http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... highlight=

Anyway, I got me a very nice pair of 51mm struts with decent calipers to go with the springs pictured above. Little bit of elbow grease will have em lookin the dogs. 8)

In fact I got a load of bits to get onto the 318 shell but not very much time to do it. :( Can I tempt a few of you with an afternoon of parts swappin followed by some drinks and a meal at my place? winkeye winkeye winkeye

By the way this doesn't mean the M30 is destined for the 318 shell. winkeye

Right, another brief update.

Drove the 325 to Stratford on avon today to pick up the M30 manual gearbox, flywheel and clutch (which looks next to useless)..

So, just need the mounts (done deal, collection soon), along with a few gaskets, a clutch, and a few other misc bits and we almost have 2 cars in the collection of parts and scrap. :D

Spanked along the M6 today raising a few smiles flashes and waves along the way from people who seemed pleasantly surprised by 1980's technology... winkeye

So during the course of today, the rather fickle individual most of you know as Mr Gheko has reached something of a decision. M30 into the chav, M20 into the 318 shell. Currently the least expensive way to have two useable cars. I love the howl of the M20 in the 325, today it has convinced me that I need to keep it, until it goes POP!! :D
