MOT passed! WOOHOO

To all you MS haters, passed emissions first try, no messing about!

Spot of welding under the fuse box, bolted on some full beams ( thanks VW mk2 golf ) and sailed through with three advisories, brake lines, rear tyres and crusty bits.

So...... what to do next....

Boost control and some mapping I suppose, need to fit another track rod end and front arm drivers side as it's bent and then fit a mint drivers door, bumpers and drivers seat.

I'm beginning to run out of things to do!!! ARGHGHG not been here for a long long time!

Bring on summer meets with long runways and cheap fuel!

Little pic from todays outing, should be a good article, Ed asked a millllllllion questions and the photographer was serioulsy snap happy, still it was a pleasent and enjoyable morning, getting to blast up and down the runway can never be boring.

I especially enjoyed the "go round that corner as fast as you can" part of the morning, that was quite scary.

Only downer is my clutch didn't like full boost in 3rd gear, hit the limiter doin 40mph which is when I reliased the wheels were not spinning up. Time for the 6 puk plate me thinks, been waiting on an excuse for a while now.

I've peaked at 12.3 psi but that tripped the boost cut and am now running a consistent 10.7psi.

The TIAL is set with a 8.75psi spring but Lennie turned up a slightly taller collar seal which adds some preload so I'm getting a few free psi's now.

Clutch is ok if you're kind to it, I still do full bore launchs and abuse it through the gears BUT I am kind to the clutch and let it bite before giving it large!

I've done a few WOT pulls in 4th and 5th now and can confirm my gears run out before 155! ( on the clock )

It's all good so far, keep trying a little harder each time and will eventually get a dyno and 1/4 time as I'm very confident it's a very fast car now, fast enough for me anyway!

I'll get some more pics up this morning, changed some bits since I last posted any.

I've been on the road for almost four months now but have been a little shy due to previous incedents and wanted to get some miles done before joining in on some of the activities that are planned.

It managed a 260 mile roundtrip to the middle of London in 25'c heat and huge tailbacks with no issues on only £40's worth of fuel, raced about everthing that was game, Audi 3.2Q, e36 M3, Audi R8 etc Didn't lose out once and even the R8 couldn't get me off his rear bumper.

It seems the last round of upgrades have made a HUGE difference and I'm happy it's as it should be, no oil leaks, water leaks or air leaks. ( That I have found :o: )

And yes I will be out and about, just make it Sundays as my Mrs works Sat till 4/430 and I have the little one with me, well not so little anymore, 8 now, be time for her own e30 soon :D
