Hi guys (and girls?),

This is my first post, so I'll start by saying hello. My name is Peter and yesterday I bought a 1990 325i SE Automatic. It's a 2 door version, the bodywork is dark graphite metallic and the interior is cream. Aside from a Kenwood stereo system (head unit and 6 disc changer) and a tow bar (which I propose to remove ASAP!), the car is completely standard.

I'm not into modding cars any more (I'm getting old), my plans are to sort out a couple of bits and pieces and enjoy that smooth six.

The paintwork is in superb condition, aside from one or two very small stone chips it's almost perfect. There are no dents or scratches and aside from a pimple of rust on the base of the passenger door, it's all solid. One of the foglamps is cracked and requires replacement. Also, one of the headlight cracked and this too needs to be sorted out asap. I also plan to remove the headlight wipers, as they look pants!

I bought the car with 11 months MoT and short tax. It came with a folder full of receipts, the original handbook and mostly complete service history. The toolkit is almost complete. Inside, the trip computer doesn't work, something I have to look into. The mileage is 114k with old MoT certs to prove. The engine runs well, the box shifts as it should.

I've had an E36 318iS last year but this is more fun. I don't know a great deal about E30s so I propose to be a pain in the arse for the first few weeks, as no doubt I will have lots of questions! Hope this is ok!

Ok, here are the photos, sorry about the quality, I took them with my phone and it got dark when I got home last night. From what you've read and seen, is it worth £700?

Peter

Looks a nice one and at 700 quid, a bit of a bargain if it's as good as you say.

Trip comp is probably working fine, just needs a new bulb set or a reset. they rarely go wrong and just don't work.

Set of 15" bbs and that look the nuts.

Well done and welcome.

I'll have a fiddle with the trip computer. Thanks for the tip.

I couldn't agree more about the BBS wheels!

Peter325iSE, welcome to the zone old boy  Use that forum search function carefully and you'll find lots of answers. You've got a good car by the looks of it and I'd pay £700 for that anytime!

Here's a little toy for you
