Thanks guys. I am chuffed with it! After giving it a good clean and a damn good inspection it is very very tidy, a few stonechips here and there. The rear bumper is horrific- I tried to avoid photographing it.lol.
The wheels are filthy. I didnt bother cleaning them.lol I'm used to cleaning the Borbets which is nice and easy

Whats the plan? do you buy, restore and sell on or is this for you? (if you dont mind me asking) If memory serves me correctly you had pics up of a gorgeous black tech1 not too long ago (from your sig pic no doubt!)

This one I am keeping

The other one is a great car but it needs too much paintwork to get it looking as neat as the new one does.
I'd love to keep them both but I dont think I can afford it

and even if I could its arguably idiotic

Correct 1an! Fukin rust! Apparently it was dripped on in storage. I checked the rear valance and its absolutely solid so nothing to worry about. Its only the centre section so nice easy fix that I can do myself. He bought a new bumper from spadge which he is going to post to me. I'll try and at least get a solid one on their even if it is black as it looks nasty.

Glad to hear your keeping the cloth, from the pics the cloth looks mint and when mint, hounds tooth trim looks good.
