Been running my trag slag on the 'orrible 14" bbs rims that it came on till one of the tyres died. So went and got some new (secondhand) rims for it rather than put the spare on as they looked a bit crap to be honest.

Came to me like this last night...

Image

A little touch of sandpaper....

Image

Adequate coating of primer......

Just a touch of lovely black paint...

and fit.....

not a bad couple of hours work even if i do say so myself!

they are 7x15" shod in yoko A539 all round. Look like Mim 1900's but are in fact made by RH.

Shed load easier to do than the Fondmetal lattice ones I have on the other E30!

Thats now both my cars with rare wheels!

Masking off with playing cards round the rim saves loads of time over masking tape! Cheap too, got 3 packs of cards for a quid.

The question now is.....

as the paintwork is not the best (laquer peeling, front valance needs replacing, tech2 spoiler need to come off etc)

Should i "do a munky" and join the dark side?

bodywise it is solid, no real rot just a bit untidy on the finish

I dont think you could get away with anything other than very dark colours in matt. Like a Vdark blue or grey?
