She's not too bad at all. The rear arches are starting to bubble an there are loads of niggles like the wipers dont work, sunroof needs fixing etc. I carnt pick her up till monday but ill get cracking on her as soon as she's home.
Yea top of my list once the important stuff is taken care of a bit too chav loli'd fit rear disc brakes mate or paint those yellow drums black
It was on ebay but i went to see it as it was just round the corner from me. I paid £300 for it but it does need some work. You get this off ebay?
How much you pay for it in the end?

Looks okay. Certainly okay for 300 quid!
Couple of tips
1 see the clip that should hold the coolant hose back to the engine hoist bracket (above the distributor cap)? Get one asap before the fan starts clipping it and wears through the hose!
2 Check the exhaust manifold gaskets. Seem to be a lack of heat sheilds (which are part of the manifold to head gaskets). Could be cooking the HT leads nicely.

6 cylinder engine with rear drum brakes??? Surely this can't be right?
If it's had a engine conversion, it might be worth checking what suspension is on the car...
Looks OK for £300 though!!

Im sure mines the same and someone said they'd expect to see disks at the rear...6 cylinder engine with rear drum brakes??? Surely this can't be right?
NIce looking project you've got there mate!! Good luck! I like the look of the Breyton lip at the back....
Must be a 320? Some of them came with rear brakes. If it had been a touring it would have been a different matter iirc.matt1980 wrote:I wasnt too sure on this myself, but the vin plate checks out so i don't know whats going on!6 cylinder engine with rear drum brakes??? Surely this can't be right?
Would have rear disks if it had ABS IIRC.Jon_Bmw wrote:Must be a 320? Some of them came with rear brakes. Early 320i's and later non-ABS 320i's had drum brakes out back. Better for handbrake turns though

It is lowered and uprated but of unknown origin, as it is old and rusty. My guess is that its a cheap kit from many moons ago. The whole car has been chaved up on the cheap at some point in its life with the obligitory lowering cheap 17" wheels m badge etc lol. At least the exhaust is nice sounding and stainless so thats a few pennys saved.it might be worth checking what suspension is on the car...
