So...I decide that it was time to pull one of the 17's off of the back of the E30 and put it up front to see how it fits.

So...Azev Type A 17x8.5 Et 15 with 205/45/17 Toyo T1R.

It almost fits ok. The Center hub portion of the wheel rubs on the brake caliper. I think this can be fixed with a small spacer. Or I could get the wheel machined, I suppose.

IT looks bada$$!!!

With 20mm spacer. Yes...it is way too much. But it was all I had on hand.

Looks good fella. 205/40 on an 8.5 and you'd possibly get away without catching.

You wouldn't expect an ET15 wheel to rub the caliper would you! :D

They are 5-inch (127mm) in the front and 6-inch (152.4mm) in the back if I recall correctly.

Thanks! Uhh...my location is listed as a little Southwest of Penzance. In reality...I am just over 4,000 miles SW of Penzance. I live in Atlanta, GA, USA. hehehe...sorry for the confusion.

1st

It looks very cool with those wheels and i like it a lot

2nd

machining the alloys wouldnt work at all, offset works in reverse and machining the wheel would just make the clearance problems worse, try 5mm spacers

I meant machine the diameter of the pad. Not the depth of the offset. Sorry for the confusion.

Looks nice, Personally I'd stick with a 7 - 7.5 at the front and 8.5 at the rear. I love the way it looks at the moment.
