I work with him, he was telling me about it and showed me a pic. Looks good!

Yeah Si is my m8 you will know Guy and Tom aswell, The restoration project consists of new carpets front/rear/boot,centre console,Cobra interior retrim which are similar to the originals as the old ones are a bit tacky for my liking thats costing me 4k just for the interior but will look nice not in your face style, couple of little marks on the bodywork nothing serious though. All work being carried out by John Clark BMW and Checkpoint Aberdeen, but yeah guys thanks for all the comments

Nice!

Doesn't look like it actually needs much.
I wish I had 7 grand to spend on my cabby altho with 7 grand I'd sell mine and buy a H26 motorsport cabby.

Gone but not forgotten.

I went to buy this car a few months ago.
For all of you that can remember the 'Mint' silver 325i heap belonging to 'Bronk' situation!
Not good at all.
Well this car belonged to a guy that lived about 2 miles down the road from Bronk.
It was certainly better but needed too much work to put right.
It was de-locked and the door handles were painted silver?
The seats weren't good and there was a strange grinding comming from the back end and
he still wanted well over 4k for it.
But then again, 7k will more than leave this one right. Another sport gets what they all deserve, Restored.
I guy lives a half hour drive from this one with an e30 325i sport with 5K on the clock!!!!!!
He wants 12 or 13 grand for it, its a gem and was on pistonheads a few months ago.

Seen that one for 12 grand, very nice,I bought mine from a guy in Lisburn N.I for £4500 had 113000 miles on the clock which is about average, the money that i'm spending on the car is not really required but I want to bring to a standard that I would like as this car is for life and will never be for the sale so sorry guys if anyone was interested, I will have the original mtech2 leather front seats for sale they are a bit cracked looking and is ripped slightly on the drivers bolster also original headlights as they have been changed for the angel eyes, these will be for sale within the next couple of months so any serious offers are welcome,I know that original seats are sought for so no stupid offers.

Once the car is complete an E30 meet would be good there seems to be alot of zoners in Scotland but i'm up for travelling south, l8r on looking to feature the car in Performance BMW Mag after all the work is complete, I'm unsure what wheels i'm buying choice between Alpinas,Azev A's or these ones below,
What do you think guys???

Alpina's if original will look better than the replica's imo, as they've been done to death...The ones above (RH Toplines), although they look sweet, personally i'd rather have the Azevs, they just sit better...
Hartge rims look the part too..
Ultimately, if i had the money, it would have to be some BBS Splities

Yes thats the same guy in Lisburn.
I looked at the two cars there and yours was definately the better of them.
Can't wait to see it fully restored. Sterling silver is so good.
I recently bought a white H reg sport with 70k from Eglinton that had been garaged.
The Zoners have been at me to throw up pictures of it but i'm waiting until I get the Weitec suspension,
new bushes and chrome strut brace fitted. Its booked in with mechanic on Tuesday to get all this stuff attached and a good full service
Just got the full stainless steel on last week and the 17' Azev's. They are a tasty wheel!
I'm dying to post pics of it but definately not until its finished. Next week should do it.

Just watched a video I think of 'made30mike' doing circles. Its on the photobucket thingy.
Thats the worst bit of diffing I've ever seen, the car nearly hits the kerb twice!
In N.I. we diff round each others cars, and diff 2 together nose to nose.
I'd get killed for driving a 325i sport like that video!
There a top handling motor and will donut all day on a ten pence.
Maybe that video was a while ago though and hes better now?
It is a lovely sport though.

Normally i would take offence to your comment and give you some abuse but i hav to admit they were rather shit eh lol that was a week after i got the car, very much better now mate prefer drifting round roundabouts tho not much skill involved doing donuts is there, awsome fun
Oh and i was nowhere near the kerbs!

Sorry Mike, It does take practice ofcourse.
I had a mate who bought a sport 4 years ago. We used to take him out late at night to
practice diffing at a large junction.
3 months of it and he coudn't pull one damn circle! The poor car nearly blew up.
No accelerator or steering co-ordination. Absolutely hilarious though!!
I wish we had him on camera trying night after night.
We were hard on him so he took the hump and sold it. ooops.
At least you were able to swing the brut the first time you bought it.
You're right, alot of fun.

Checkpoint are not as bad as everyone makes out, ive had no probs so far, might have something do do with the fact that i know them well and our old car was all done by them.

Mike, 2 questions...
1. Why not post up the link to your driftin'?
2. Is that your better half in your avatar? Nice one! Does she fancy posing on a real bike?

TBH I haven't dealt with them since they moved from Rosemount.
Nice motor BTW
