Another Lowered Touring
Moderator: martauto
Hi Guys
I got fed up trying to find a nice widebody kit to fit a touring so i decided to build my own, 2 years and a lot of blood, sweat and tears later she is almost ready for the road
1990 325i Touring, lowered 60 front 30 rear, 8x16 front on 25mm spacers 9x16 rear on 65mm spacers, to be replaced with 9 @11 x17 BBS RS01 s when i have the money.
have cut out the spare wheelwell and am going to fabricate an E21 323i style exhaust with cherrybombs one can left and one right out of the rear valance.
then itll be some small mods to the engine(schrick cam, valve springs, chip, throttlebody, high pressure injectors, porting and polishing etc)
and finally build another ice install as a junkie stole the last one i made !!

definately looks different, i like it! quite merc DTM...
you might want to resize the avatar though, it's demolishing the screen! you can do this within photobucket itself.

Fabricated everything all on my lonesome apart from the front spoiler which is off a skyline, found it at the scrappies for 20 quid and cut the top off, shortened the sides and mated it with original bumper mounts.

if you log into your photobucket album, there will be a 'edit' button above each piccy. click that then click on the resize button. this will give you three options to choose from. mine is the 'thumbnail' size.
it's worth uploading a seperate piccy for this as otherwise it'll shrink everywhere else you've used it
hope that helps

Once the paint job is sorted and the wheels are on, then i can see this being a proper show stopper

Hey was thinking of doing some serious engine tuning for a while but decided against it, dont want to wreck the bodykit, have you checked out ireland engineering yet ? looooads of E goodies, i was going to turn my 2.5 into a 3.1 with supposedly better performance than an e36 m3 !!
Just bought myself a scrapper for 100 quid, demolished 325i touring, its got an LSD and recond head that i need, though the big end went on number 6 and tore up the block badly and the bodywork has been vandalised and the seats and door cards are gone, anyone looking for a gearbox or anything else before i scrap it ?
Thanks for all the comments, its been a real labour of love and hate over the last 2 years and one long learning curve with plenty of mistakes made. when i have her finished ill be out and about at the cruises looking for some like minded people with a view to more projects and maybe starting a business doing this kind of thing.
Had her outside today lettin the engine run good n warm so i took the chance to take a couple more pics......
From her best side first

This side and bonnet still need a polish

Hopefully 3 weeks till the last trip to the painters then wheel refurb and new tyres
