Thought id post this pic up of my car!
Picked up the BK`s for an absolute bargain price from a mate.
Not my first choice of wheels ill be honest but for what I paid I cant really moan!
The more I look at them though, the more they suit the car, what do you think?

some of the high and mighty on here turns their noses up at alpina reps but i think no other wheel suits the e30 as much as the alpina alloy shape

Very true mate, I will always stay true to the Burger King reps!!!
Nice Tony

although 17's do ruin the ride a little but they suit the E30 down to the ground.

Got to be honest mate, better than i thought it would

but when i go over a pothole the steering twitches, only a little but it does!
Going to get the tracking done to eliminate that out, failing that ill just put it down to the 40 series tyres?
Not all that bad though!

Cliffy, Gods always spelt with a capital G.
To place an E30 alongside God I think it has to have quite a few options...

Would defo recommend 215/45 tyres, but obviously that wouldn't reflect the price
BK171's will grace my car whenever I can next get hold of a set!

Worth a shot I reckon mate, if only to see what the handling is like. I remember when I first had a set I used the 205/40 tyres that were on them and it would understeer like a bitch

Right ill swap them tomorrow and see how it is!
Like i said though, its not as bad as i thought it might be after what ive read in the past about them.
Definately going to get the tracking checked too over the weekend, even if its just to save the tyres!

Personally I prefered the Hartges too but at the time of selling them I needed to raise some cash ASAP so they got chopped in!
Plus the fact id just put new tyres on them, then Cheryl drives home 3 days later on a flat and ripped one clean of the rim almost
Got a top price for them tho so...........!

Not a sport mate.
I bought it as a 320i SE auto, but that was swapped for the M50!
Has just about every sport extra on it now though with the exception of Black roof lining(which i have but havent fitted yet) and LSD(using a 3.46 open diff instead)!

Drives fine mate, certainly better than the 4.10 open diff i was using for 3 months
Roof lining is the standard mouldy white one but got the one from my 318is breaker to fit, just waiting for the weather to improve!

hey Tony, your car looks lush mate. I like the alpina's on it, they sit very nicely on silver E30's i think. I was in two minds when i replaced my wheels but went with the bbs's mainly due to the colour of my car, bit to old skool for the pinas i thought. Glad to know its driving well on them tho.

i would have to argue that there are pros and cons to the pina reps. definately get less wheelspin with em. they are considerably heavier than the bbs' which is bad in some ways but also lowers the centre of gravity which is good. i dont see why some people give these rims so much stick, if they were made by alpina and looked the exact same everyone would love em.
got any pics of the engine bay?
have you got any plans to do up the engine? turbo? cams etc?

Mechanically ive got no plans to go any further with this car, just going to put right all the little niggly things and then sell on in the near future!
Heres a couple of pics of the engine bay from a couple months ago -
