I was sorting through some old photo's ( remember them? ) and came across pics of my 318 touring bought new in 1994 from Scothall in Leeds. Rubbish quality pictures but just good enough to show the spec and make me wish I still had it.
At the time this was one of the last factory orders for the E30 through Scothall - they couldn't understand why I didn't want to wait for the E36 touring?? I had a black 318 touring before this and wanted this new one before production ended.
As part of the purchase deal I cheekily asked for upgraded wheels and for the sill extensions off the 325 model - oh and they threw in an MTec steering wheel as well !
I sold it after two years and then saw it again a few years later - looking worse for wear.
This particular car was used in a period advertising campaign / packaging for a "Vileda" car cleaning product.
Just wondered if it was still around??
The black one was also from Scothall and was a basic 318 with no extras apart from metallic paint. It had a Motorolla "brick" phone installed that took up most of the console. I can't remember the original number for this one but it was J reg.
L949NNW is it still around?
