Hello zoners, it's been long time since I was here. After selling my m50b25 coupe and puting enormous amount of money in m60b40 touring, I decided to stop because I didnt see light in the end of the tunnel. I just wanted more and more power with no purpouse except burning tyres in 4th gear and telling I have V8 under the hood. After little conversation with my brain I decided to make myself car that I can sit in and go wherever I want to without fear of police pull me over and take my licence plates. It was god to have almost 300 hp and 400nm under the hood and brutal acceleration but now I want something "normal" to sit and enjoy in driving. So after maybe 20 days of me arguing with my brain, an 325e came out on market. I was lucky becase I saw it 10min after it was putted on internet because after I call owner and make a deal, he call me back several times is it 100% because people are giving him more money to sell it to them. Here in Croatia it is hard to find e30 that is original 6 cylinder, almost all of them are 316/318 swapped. So finnaly I manage to get registered trailer during that day because I had to drive from one end of Croatia to another. In 00:00 I take the ferry, drive all night and early in the morning get where the car was, almost 1500+-km. Not to bother with details anymore, let's go on car info:

So it is 1985 (12.1984) schwarz 325 eta(m20b27), it has mtech front seat matching rear one, small mt2 steering wheel, functional bc2, a/c, cruise control, pop up rear windows, electric windows and sunroof and after I wash it, it was ready for MOT. It is not rust free, floors was already done by somebody and not done well, there are no holes but I dont like it. Car was also painted, not bad but I want better. When put everything together car is excelent for that year. I registered it and drove it since last summer as it was to see what things will go bad, and on my surprise only front right caliper block few times and rear muffler fell off. Engine work excelent, it drink some oil but nothing to be scared. My plans for this car is to find every equipment that e30 ever had(maplight mirror, heated seats, fog lights, light washers and wipers, 3. stoplight, rear sunshade, rear seat with armrest nad headrests....), dissasemble chassis and make it like from factory, put everything new on suspension and brakes...basicly i want car from 1985 to be like new. Major dillema is engine, I know I said I dont want a lot of horse pover and torque but this "e" is just killing me. I was thinking or m30b35 od m20 stroker, already have 2.7 just need to find 2.5 one, or 885 head and wiring etc separately. Problem is because if I go stroker route I know I will go to extreme and end up with ITB-s, then I cant use that car for 5000+km trip...I can, but dont wanna risk. I have also bought complete e30 1991 316 where friend and I put m30b35 few years ago and car was only driven few times, maybe done 500km in 5 years. It is not original but m30 look like original under e30 hood. Also it is about 210hp and nice amount of torque, not like m60b40 but i think exelent for what I want. Maybe put some headers, open exhaust and KN panel to breath better. Also when I manage to find engine harnes out of newer 325i everything will work like original(fuel consuption, bc...). Lot of people say m30 weight give negative handling in e30, I will do firewall and put it even more back than it was in this 316. This is not going to be RACECAR, maybe on track or race I will see bad handling, but on daily driven or fast driving on normal road i dont think it will be big difference. Suspenison dont know jet, bilstein's or koni's. I want to maintain original look outside, so maybe few centimeters down. Also will go 5lug out of 323ti and style 5 15x7. Also have style 5 16x8 but I think it will bi too much out in front, will see everyting when it comes to that. To get the conclusion, I hope it will be schwarz 1985 325e with big six 3.5, few centimeters lower, as much equipment as I can find and everything new except chassis. Im in no hurry, I am collecting parts slowly...in 2-3 years i hope I will find everything and GARAGE, because everything I done was done in driveway, only motors have swapped in friends garage. So thats it for now.

Cheers, Goran

Looks like a pretty good car. Why not upgrade to the later 1987-on 325e spec and convert the cylinder head to an 885, fit the Motronic 1.3 management and a 2.7 chip, and have effectively an Alpina C2 2.7 spec engine with around 200 bhp?
