So, recently bought a '90 318is to be rebuilt. Here's the car:

After having driven it for about 500km to get it home, the first thing that was needed to do was to solve the engine issue because at about 2500-3000 rpm one of the cylinder was stopping to work propely.

So the first thing we thougth was that the plug wires was damaged, we found that they was not connecting correctly but when we replaced them the problem didn't solve. Then with tried replacing the coil

Again the problem was not solved, we then thougth that it could be a series of thing. In order we checked out:

-Camshaft sensor

-Cheked the coil mosfet inside the Motronic

-Then we decided to check if the spark plug was dirty of fuel and we find out that one of the spark plug was dirtier than the other

-We made a compression test of the cylinders

-We cleaned the driveshaft sensor

-Checked the fuel pressure

-Cheked the Mass flow sensor

Finally we decided to replace the injector, this was our "last hope" because we didn't really want to unmount the air collectors

Mounted all back the sleeping cylinder finally decided to return to life

Time to have dinner!!

And then we made some fast replacement, we changed the destroyed seat with some "to repair" sport seat that i friend who's helping with the rebuilt borrowed us, and then we replaced the front door panel with some old one, of my dad's e30.
