I've just recently bought a 325i Baur convertible off an E30 zone member (clackmac325) and i'm loving it. I use to own a 318 Baur and have always loved the E30 shape and the Baurs style. I havenÔš't seen many Baurs about and would really appreciate it if other Baur members would post their pictures.

cheers

Baur is a bit different cab - it has doors like a coupe (with frame around the glass), only the roof is removable, and it's removable in 2 parts.
Originally baur cabrio were only 318i, no big engines. I suppose all 325i baurs are the result of engine swap. My one was registered as 318 too.

I had a baur 325i less than a year ago - i like original bmw cabs more.
Not the best condition, actually a bought it cheap - about J800, I bought it for selling. So I was driving it for about 2 months, then the engine died, I took the cobra recliners out of it and replaced them with stock seats (recliners will be in my coupe soon) and sold it... for J900 :D Nice monkey business

Baur's come in all engine sizes and not just conversions, mines an original 1984 323i, not the one in sig pic though, thats not mine!
I believe at the time of manufacture of the E30 Baur in 1984 they were only made up to a 323 engine and the 325 came along later, but definitely not just engine conversions.

Here are some updated photos of my Baur. I'm thinking about selling it, i've seen a really nice m3 and wouldnÔš't mind getting my hands on that. IÔš'm hoping I could get something in the region of Ԛ£3500-Ԛ£4000 for it since I just refurbished the inside and have had a Clifford 650 fitted and an alpine CDA-9855R with the iPod adapter. It looks sweet inside. Recarro leathers, immaculate carpet and mats. It's got about 160,000 miles on the clock but drives flawlessly. What you guys think?? Is it wishful thinking?
