After buying my first e30 last Friday, I think its about time i start to make a thread on it.
it started when i was around 16, I would always see this car parked next to what i believed to be the owners house, and since then i fell in love! turned 17 and knocked on the mans door, he was very reluctant to sell and said no, and for the past 3 years every so often id go and see if he had changed his mind. up until last week i hadn't been round to even see if the car was still there, so off i went, knocked on the door and this time he was ready to sell! had another look around in and under the car, and for a car which ive known to sat still for four years in the elements is almost solid, with 2 minor patches of rust! seals are all straight with no rust both sides. where it has been sitting i would of thought the paint work would be shot. so had it booked in to get sprayed next month, after collecting it wednesday and giving her a good wash, it certainly doesnt need to be sprayed. fuel pump had seized up so went to Charing BMW spares today and got a second hand one, got on home drained the tank, injector cleaner and fresh juice, new pump in fired up second time! what a result that was hearing the girl run, was still abit lumpy so going to be giving her a full service this week, still one little problem after letting it run, i gave it some throttle then it cut out, tried to fire it up and was having none of it. believe one of the fuel lines shit itself and gave way, fuel all over the floor so putting it down to that, will have to put it on the ramp in the week so will have a better look then. any comments on the vehicle are welcome good and bad.
