Interior is in amazing condition, still has the original mats! the only let down is the drivers seat, not sure if im going to replace it altogether or just the fabric!

I will give her a full machine polish when i get myself some new pads, also looking to lower it by 30mm and put a set of BBS on her! Any other ideas and opinions are welcome :)

cheers

Would it be worth replacing the carb with the webar? or doing a whole engine swap?

depends on what you want , a weber is ideal if you want originality and a bigger engine if you want some descent speed

i was watching it on ebay an i thought it looked a nice early motor

a good buy if it truly is rust free, as the seats and engine are relatively cheap and easy to swap around !

i would put a nice high compression 325i for a weekend car or a m42 if its going to be a daily driver

depends on what you want really have a read here -

Only 20 minutes from me thank god, shame its one of the most simple models but oh well! well ill be using it 3 times a week (120 miles)

How much does replacing the carb on the m10 improve the engine? can see an engine swap being expensive if i have to replace breaks and suspension!

cheers

keep it simple, I'm doing a m50 conversion and the cost spiralled out of control. Do the sum of all needed parts first.

Once you start changing bits there is no coming back :)

If the car runs allright leave it alone ! The Weber is no better from an economy or power perspective IF the original carb works correctly.
Be sure to get your tappets checked and adjusted and your ignition timing set CORRECTLY. Both will undoubtably be incorrect and costing you power and petrol.

Would i get that done at a garage mate? and the car runs fine, i just thought the Weber improves it and makes it run smoother?

Seeing as this is one of the most bog standard models i want to drop it a bit and put some wheels on it to make it stand out, other then that i will get the paintwork up to scratch and maybe do some things like Angel eyes

You should easily be able to get 30+ mpg average if it's in a good state of tune.

I rather like the standard steelies, but 15" BBS would look good.

Waxoyl it, keep it standard, or at least tasteful mods that are easy to put back to standard if you want to at a later date. That said an M52 would be a nice mod :D

That will make it stand out for the wrong reasons. Keep the headlights and rear lights standard. Get the car shiny as fook, decent wheels THAT FIT unlike the one above, small suspension drop (I would go 40mm but that's just me)......then leave it alone.
