The car is set up for autocrossing, and last year me and my co-driver finished 1st and 3rd for the season in the class. We were a few points short of taking 1st and 2nd due to having some issues at the beginning of the season with the LSD not hooking up and some issues with rear brakes/bias.
I plan on using a 5 speed from an e34 530i m60b30 car, as I have no use for 6th gear and the 6speed is much much more expensive and is also 30lbs heavier than the 5speed.
I wish there were more affordable choices when it comes to single mass flywheels, having to pay $700 for a single mass steel flywheel is just a huge rip-off, when similar flywheels for other engines can be purchased for a fraction of the cost
Other changes to the car will be to go with 15x10 wheels and 265 width tires on all four, that will come later as it will require body work to match.
