Nightmare mate, it's a crap feeling knowing you have to give in to a tow truck to get home!! Hope it's an easy fix

Yeah, you know he's good when he has a selection of wood.
On the lookout for a deal on a good fuel pump, should hopefully only take a couple of hours to swap out.

It's booked in for MOT this week too. Looks like the next couple of evenings are gonna be fun.

did you have any warning signs your pump was about to go??? Mine has only just come back on the road this week and the pump sounds quite loud... but i'd never drove it before this week during my whole ownership so been worried it's going to go.

Are you going to take the tank out to do it or something?! Should only take 30mins max..

No warning signs really, although about 6 months ago it started whining after a couple of hours on a long journey.
It was starting on the button this morning.
Checked all fuses, plugs, relays etc, but I always knew it was going to be the pump, also it's probably the only thing on the car that hasn't been replaced/fixed/fiddled by me.
I'm kind of looking forward to doing the fix.

Even better, just need to get a replacement pump, suggestions are welcome.
