Under the current revision of the Wiki, the Paint Codes page is being rebuilt:
http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/inde ... lour_Codes
This will ultimately be an archive of all paint codes for the E30 with a photo example. A start has been made, but I need pictures for certain colours.
Please, take a look, and if you can find a photo, link it here and I'll add it.
If there's a colour missing, or incorrect data (such as years) just shout and I'll amend that too.

Erm, you have a pic of my car as delphin metalic when in fact is diamante schwartz.
Also you have cosmos (black) listed and that is not an E30 colour.

Thanks bss. All the info for those pics comes from the owners, so I'm not sure how the diamondblack car got described as Dolphin. As for the other stuff:
Cosmos is a blue, not black, and is listed here: http://www.behindmatrix.com/e30/fotost/ ... f01203.htm
The owner of the "doom blue" declared it as Dunkel. I'll change it when a better pic turns up.
Macau Blue already there.
Weinrot, Alpina Blue and Alpina Green added.
Vulcangrau moved to the Saloon section.
Entries made for Misano, Sebring and Nogaro. Need pictures.

Would it not also be worth adding the colours that feature in the brochures etc? Barry usually links them in when needed and would show a clearer indication of the actual colour, rather that a slightly faded, or sun filtered picture. Just pop the colours along side them all?
I have a couple of brochures with colours but dont have a scanner else I could have scanned then chopped them down into squares to add in there.
Barry, do you still have them available if he needs them?

Just to add, Sebring was motorsport cabrio only.
Nagaro was motorsport cabrio and M3 ceccotto only
Misano was M3 and M3 cabrio only (the diddler has a 4dr is this colour though which was special order)

Steve if you went through all the E30's you've owned, how many colours would be missing?

Cheers for all the info listed. Oddly, the Alpinablue car also has pics of the owner's manual:

So I'm guessing Alpinblau and Alpinablau are two very different tones.
Thanks for the images guys, although can we get some better ones of Neon Green and Polaris Silver?
Also still missing Alpine White I (and III)

I'll agree to that, I just need the source material. Picture quality is the biggest issue here. Having said that, I read on a long-dead thread of a guy with two Lachssilver cars which, side by side, were different shades, so no picture could ever perfectly represent each colour.Jim320i wrote:Would it not also be worth adding the colours that feature in the brochures etc? All colours now have photos, except for Alpine White III.
Please remember this is a GUIDE, not an authority, due to the limits of picture quality.
