I've read things here on the zone that suggests their reputation isn't so great.....

i wouldn't buy a Munich bellends car. certainly not one with "full BMW and ML history" :(

Having just read total bmw today i'm looking at the article with said 2dr 325i. Nice colour check, manual check, history check, lowish miles and owners check.

What would you do? fuck it up into a track car like every other 2dr 325 thats left? sounds like a car with a value is being nailed into something it shouldn't imo

true but only goons weld up sh!tters for track cars. The safest cars are ones never welded up bar the weld in cage!

They are fitting a bolt in cage? whats the point?! They said that if you remove the glass on an E30 you can move the roof skin with your hands ffs. :hammer: Where do these people get this sh!t from?!

Only 4 cylinders should be used as track cars.

The owner before ML was a keen beamer fan. He owed an M5,M3 E30 Cab,and the 325i in question. He was a mechanic and had a garage next to where I work. Before I bought my cab I was going to buy it myself, before he pasted away he said that he wanted it to go to a good home or he would keep it,its a shame that its going to be a track car.

Exactly!

The previous people who used to run it for an American owner were Tony and Barny Halse who were the two crooks that built the bad reputation up.

They got the boot when the owner sold up to the present owner, Dan Norris who is now running it.

Barney Halse has started up a new firm not to far away from ML which is called Classic heros.

I personally know two people who work there, their parts manager Andy and a technician called Adam. Both are former colleges of mine at Chandlers BMW and both are very good at what they do!

Were ML's rep really that bad under the previous owners or was it a small % of the customers? What is their rep like now? They have clearly had a massive website improvement and rebranding. I heard a few stories from a few posts people made on here a while back when i asked about them.

I been down ML only once in my life and that was not that long after i bought the E30. They seem to have a few low mileage CSLs these days. Classic Heroes never been to there HQ but probably wouldnt mind a look round well either them or ML. They both seem to feature alot in either BMW Car magazine or the BMWCC magazine with their own column, job adverts, opinions etc.
