Right having spent a few £ recently on the old girl I thought I might start a thread on the car.

First off the car was bought about 5 years ago by my brother for £350 for his girlfreind to learn to drive in. She then sold it to me when I was 17 for £485 (my insirance was £2400 8O ), I added a new 30%uprated shocks and 35mm drop springs all round as well as 325i brakes up front with braided hoses off of my brothers vert as he went for a hi-spec 360mm BBK.

I then sold the car to my mum and bought an E34 525i sport, which I loved, unfortionately having to sell as I had to leave my job as an electrical apprentice.

Fast foward to 2010, I'm finishing my course as an electrician next summer, I'm 21 tomorow, and i'm currently being lent the car by my parents, my job its to maintain it, but going to buy it sometime next year so gonna do some mods to it.

Anyway, parts that have been replaced since we've had the car:

oil change every 6k ish, its due one now.
Infinity exhausts stainless centre box as the standard BMW one fell apart.
ECP centre box back exhaust - snapped and then welded, and now snapped 6" from the weld, so having Infinity exhausts fit centre box back.
Centre prop bearing
prop coupling
prop coupling bollts
shocks springs
full cambelt kit @ 148 k, currently on 162k
diff bush - replaced with poly
xenon headlight bulbs
wiper motor
Clutch slave cylinder x 2. 1x - 2010
Front brake pads ATE as Eicher ones were shocking - 2010
Fuel tank, brand new ECP one - 2010
rear wheel cylinders and rear brakes lines - 2010
2 x kuhmo tyres on the front stopped the roundabout understeer - 2010
2 x front wheel bearings - 2010
2 x front ball joints - 2010
Mudflaps, best £15 i've spent on her, only clean it once a week now - 2010

I started to mod it, but then my mum needed to use it for a few months so had to put everything back to standard (bar the suspension and brakes.

Mods i'd like to do,

Is lip
SE side skirts
tec 1 boot spoiler
wheels, black centre white lip
roof rack for work
tec 2 wheel

that'll do for now. Heres some pics:

I did run the two before I sold the E30 to my mum, not bad considering I was only 18...

Got the ball rolling on the project now, I purchased a used set of Thule roof bars for £25 this evening, so should start to look like the pic with the roof bars on again. Next job is a bit of winter protection I have been meaning to do, bit of undersealing, and some more alpine paint here and there, and an oil change. I also have a relatively big list of dings and dents for a dent secialist to work his magic on.

And after x mas hopefully get the se side skirts on, and source an is lip (PM me if you have one), and hopefully a tec 1 spoiler.
