Here's a few pics of a wee drive i just did :D
2 weeks in total. Down through france, into switzerland via the susten pass, grimsel pass and furka pass, then down to italy (an hour south of ancona) where we stayed for a week, then back off north via the stelvio pass, through switzerland and austria into germany, a weekend at the nurburgring, then holland, belgium and france again.
totalling 2800 miles and all i needed was a pair of rear tyres upon my return!! No breakdowns at all! M30 FTW!

the pics are all in a bit of a random order and i can't be arsed with rearranging them but you'll get the idea.

these cars are meant to be driven folks, drive them!

there are literally hundereds of pics so i just chose a few (!), well, stole them actually :)

Some are mine but as i had no navigator on this trip, most of the photos are from my brothers and their girlies.

We've got some in-car video of Alps hairpin-ery, I'll try to get them off my gf's phone....by the way, she was driving the MR2 in the photos on the wet lap ( 8O ), and on the same lap an Audi TT and a Porsche both crashed, separately! ...."not much grip"....

I can voutch(sp) for just how awesome the stelvio pass is. Me and Lynne took the E39 down to Italy for my sister's wedding a month ago. We did france, switzerland, over the stelvio pass then down to Lake Como for the wedding. We then drove down to Monte Carlo then took the Napoliaen(sp) pass back out then up to calais. We did 2600 miles in 6 days and camped every night.

We're definately gonna do something similar next year, was well worth it.

Como is awesome too - have driven Munich to Milan (in my E30) and back that whole area of Italy is just awesome for driving.
