Well guys i`v got got my next thing, you might of seen it in the for sale section really didn`t want it going to the scrapy so i brought it for next to no money.

as its a chromie i want it totally oem as all the chrome is good no rot or rust, body work is in fab condition for the age a little bit of surface rust but no major welding needs doing, the main thing that needs doing is the engine as the headgasket as gone so start trying to find an engine for it i`m not going to do any big engine swaps on it just try and find a good m10.

I`ll have more pictures late.

No sorry Alex buddy but this one is stay OEM fella, to be honest i`v had enough of doing semi big engine jobs so this is staying as close to stardard, but i like the idea of a tech 1 kit and i already have 15" bbs to go on.

I need an interior for it, blue cloth sport seats if there is such a thing.

It looks alright. I can see a spot of rust under the door though, how are you going to deal with it?

Good decision to keep it stock.

What's the badge on the grille?

Just noticed, the valance looks a bit squashed.

looks like a tidy one baz, deffintly has potential. get some polish on the rusty stains then sand the rusty bits back to clean metal if there not rotten and stick some zinc primer and paint on. i did a tiny little bubble on the IS like this in the door shut you cant even tell its been painted or anything.

Just had a visit from the boys that now do all my work, they said its not the headgasket it is just this pipe thing at the back of the engine also they are going to deal with the rust and patch the rear box section for me.
Got some fogs for that new valence
yes i`ll get some fogs for it but your dont have the brackets with them.

My touring should be back tomorrow so just going to concentrate on getting that finished for pod at the mo, but at the same time i need to get the mop out and cut into the white to bring it back to life so may do that first.

Ahhh, is that an easy fix then? Dont be sorry to me, wasn't my car :P. I didn't really pay it that much attention. Glad you're pleased with the old girl though. I look forward to seeing it get fixed up.

it looks nice with a blue interior and the roof and tonneau. are you keeping the 4-spoke s/wheel and 4-spd gearknob Baz?

a couple more pics of my Daughter's one:

i have temporarily fitted a tech1 steering wheel and i did fit a leather (5 spd) gearknob on, but Hannah kept complaining that after i did that she couldn't get it into fifth gear! :chuckle:

shall we start a Baur thread? winkeye
