What do you have left to do?
I've got my Autoglym polishing kit for when all the jobs are finished!Alex wrote:looking good, now get the polish out, back to black, window cleaner, chrome cleaner, and wax it
it NEEDS a tech 1 front valance have you done the inner arches too ?
only thing letting it down is the interior, if i lived near i would come over and clean it loads and get that engine bay done, i really think you should take didllys offer up
you should give the old people a ring who you bought it off and send them some pictures, they will probably be proud of you
how did you spray it ???? looks quite good

The inner arches were actually not to bad so just a small bit of fibre glass to prevent from major work!
Interior doesn let it down, But I want a contrasting interior like beige!
I Have the old owners email address my send them some pictures!
Sprayed it by priming the repaired areas, then keying the rest masking it up and then several coats of gloss black, then blended it into the old paintwork and a polish!
only a tool will distort a panel welding.Ollie_bwoii wrote:ITs not a bodge! Very strong stuff and just a cheaper way of repairing the inner arch as I can;t afford to have all the panel distorted meaning a respray of the whole panel etc.... Just can't afford to do that on a 316 worth a few hundred quid!
Its also only one side as the previous owner had the other side welded at a cost of £300 iirc!

typical 4 pot chrome bumper car, mine was just as highpac1982 wrote:OMG is that really the standard ride height? i thought i may have been becuase you had it jacked up and the suspension needed to settle again, bet that rolls like **** in the corners!
Still dont mean to sound harsh it does look really nice after all the work you've put in but it really really needs a drop, you say 40mm but looking at how high it is now i think 80mm is more like it
they look massive in the flesh too, you just havent had many e30s ollieOllie_bwoii wrote:Alex do you agree that when you stand next to a chrome turd they don't actually look as high as they do in pics?
