you should give the old people a ring who you bought it off and send them some pictures, they will probably be proud of you :)

Thanks, I've got to wire brush all the underneith and then waxoil it, Also got the other sill to paint, Then some fog lights to fit! And that will be that for the moment!

I've got my Autoglym polishing kit for when all the jobs are finished!
The inner arches were actually not to bad so just a small bit of fibre glass to prevent from major work!
Interior doesn let it down, But I want a contrasting interior like beige!
I Have the old owners email address my send them some pictures! :D
Sprayed it by priming the repaired areas, then keying the rest masking it up and then several coats of gloss black, then blended it into the old paintwork and a polish!

ITs not a bodge! Very strong stuff and just a cheaper way of repairing the inner arch as I can;t afford to have all the panel distorted meaning a respray of the whole panel etc.... Just can't afford to do that on a 316 worth a few hundred quid! :(

Its also only one side as the previous owner had the other side welded at a cost of £300 iirc!

Good work there Olli. Fancy doing some work on my Alpina for me winkeye

That interier is very rare to see these days. I just took some of the matching door cards out of my Alpina and swapped them for houndstooth ones with Adi.

Are you still going to go for the badge leather interier?

Thanks felix! :D

Isn't a bad interior just hate the rip! I am currently enquiring about a hounstooth sports interior, But it has some stains on it so looking into how you would remove them first!

Stains are pretty easy to get rid of. Any good wet vac with some decent chemicals will shift the most stubbern of stains. The biggest trick is obviously clean well before fitting in and make sure it is well dry before fitting. Dad uses a George vac ( they have the face on them and it's green ) and will use a dish brush and nail brush and scrub the seats with the detergent mixture to get deep into the cloth. He used this method on my houndstooth to get it back to mint condition and it just needs a hover every few weeks to keep on top of it.

If your interier has a rip on the grey cloth it can be fixed pretty easy and it will do your car wonders with that trim. Dans M52 beast has the same as your but with highbacks. Santapod is only round the corner or try and do a meet we both can be at before hand ( could even pop up to say hello ) and I be happy to give you some headrests that are in the same grey as the bolsters and see if we can salvage the material. And I guess you can have a look at the Alpina if you really want to ( don't want to bore you with it lol )

only a tool will distort a panel welding.
Just get a couple of plates in and be done with it.
Bollocks to this 24v scrap!

OMG is that really the standard ride height? i thought i may have been becuase you had it jacked up and the suspension needed to settle again, bet that rolls like fuck in the corners!

Still dont mean to sound harsh it does look really nice after all the work you've put in but it really really needs a drop, you say 40mm but looking at how high it is now i think 80mm is more like it

Yeh no I was going to go 60-80mm but it just isn't practical and at the end of the day doesn't even look that good!

40 or 45 mm is fine eventually! :D But it doesn't look so bad in the flesh!
